Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided for those new to optical care. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of a team delivering a best-in-class vision care experience.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, document patient history, and help guide patients through the visit, contributing to a smooth, efficient appointment flow.

Qualifications

• High school education required; ability to understand basic math.
• Empathy and patience with patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn optical procedures and product information.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for pre-exam screening.
• Maintain smooth patient flow between reception, testing, and doctor.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
