Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history.

You will learn pretest equipment, assist during exams, train on contact lenses, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

Training is provided, empowering you to grow within a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with the ability to comfort patients.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during the appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for eligible patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
