Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, conducting preliminary testing and measurements, and learning to operate pretest equipment. No optical experience is required as training will be provided.

This role involves guiding patients, maintaining smooth patient flow, and ensuring comfort during procedures. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam preparation.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
