Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided; you will learn about the industry and help deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Some weekend and evening shifts are required, reporting to the Office General Manager and supporting our doctors. Responsibilities include documenting patient history, ensuring smooth patient flow, and operating pretest equipment for visual

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during the visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide seamless patient experience.
