Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements. You will learn with provided training in a fast-paced vision care environment dedicated to delivering a best-in-class patient experience.

Some weekend and evenings shifts may be required. You will collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and comfortable experiences while using pretest equipment for vision screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain flow of patients to Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures to be exposed during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor and team to provide seamless patient experience.
