Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided, and shifts may include weekends or evenings as needed.

In this role you will help patients feel comfortable, document medical history, and operate pretest equipment to screen vision. You will collaborate closely with the Doctor and office team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Training provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
