Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits through preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided for those new to the optical field, with some weekend and evening shifts required.

The role involves documenting patient histories, assisting in maintaining flow during appointments, and helping patients feel comfortable with procedures. Prior healthcare or optical background is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with basic math skills.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients.
• Willingness to learn about industry and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors to provide seamless patient experience.
