Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide expert technical support to customers, end users, and internal teams. You will assist with VFD programming, wiring, and control-system integrations, resolving complex issues through collaboration with engineering and field service.

You will document cases, stay current with drive technologies, and help drive warranty activity across the US, with a hybrid work model that includes remote work and in-person site support where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's/HS curriculum in electrical or technical field with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is REQUIRED.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical drives and communicate with customers in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone & email for Low Voltage VFDs and related systems.
• Assist customers with drive programming, configuration, and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorizations with the warranty team.
• Document support cases, solutions, and best practices in Salesforce and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
