Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, field techs, and internal teams. You will help with programming, wiring, and integration of drives, while documenting cases in Salesforce.

The role reports to the Technical Support Team Lead and offers a hybrid work model in the United States, including remote options where permitted. Strong electrical knowledge and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in electrical/technical field or equivalent.
Knowledge of how VFDs work is required.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate in English clearly, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues, commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorization with the warranty team.
Document support cases and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
