Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist in the United States. The role involves providing technical support for Low Voltage VFD applications, assisting customers and field technicians with commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty processing.

You will program drives, configure parameters, and integrate with control systems, collaborating with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• VFD knowledge is a must.
• Understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting drives.
• Proficient in communicating with customers in English (verbal and written).
• Must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone & email for VFD applications, assisting customers and field techs with commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, communication, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with the warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorizations for repairs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
