Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide remote technical help to customers and internal teams in the United States. You will assist with drive programming, configuration, and system integration, while coordinating warranty actions and documenting cases for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work with engineering, field service, and sales teams to resolve technical issues and stay current with VFD technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work (REQUIRED).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical drives and electrical principles applied to VFD systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorizations.
• Document support cases, solutions, and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
