Job summary

ABB seeks a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, field technicians, and ABB teams. You will help with drive programming, wiring, and system integration, while troubleshooting and coordinating warranty actions.

The role is hybrid in the United States, reporting to the Technical Support Team Lead. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues and document solutions for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years relevant Electrical/Technical experience OR associate's degree and 6 years OR high school with 8 years.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is REQUIRED.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and drives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues.
• Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorization for repairs
• Document support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management.
• Stay current with VFD technologies and updates.
