Job summary

GoodVets in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of the hospital. You’ll oversee day-to-day activities, staffing, scheduling, inventory, compliance, and reporting while delivering outstanding client experiences.

Lead a high-performing team, hire and onboard, coach for growth, optimize margins, and partner with doctors to ensure top-notch veterinary care.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Hospital Operations/Medical Office Manager or similar role preferred.
• 3+ years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities; technician background preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching ability.
• Advanced skills with Practice Management Systems and MS Excel; basic accounting for operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily hospital operations
• Ensure compliance with operating standards
• Create and maintain accurate work schedules
• Hire, train, and onboard new team members and set performance standards
• Prepare monthly hospital performance reports (staffing, margins, trends)
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for growth
• Monitor inventory, manage orders, and control costs
• Support doctors, staff, and clients with clarity and professionalism
