Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) is seeking an Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program to help veterans secure and maintain livable-wage employment.

You will guide veterans from outreach and eligibility through readiness, placement, and follow-up, coordinating with local employers and service partners. Responsibilities include assessing needs, developing personal employment plans, delivering job-readiness training, and maintaining confidential

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed at federal rate.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assess Veterans' skills, work history, interests, and barriers to employment.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, steps, and timelines.
• Provide job-readiness training: resumes, interviews, professional conduct.
• Assist with job placement and employer engagement; follow up after placement.
• Maintain confidential client records and report program results; coordinate with partners.
