Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) is seeking an Employment Specialist within the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) to guide veterans from eligibility through placement and follow-up.

The role involves assessment, plan development, job readiness training, and ongoing support to help veterans achieve stable, livable-wage employment in in-demand occupations. This position requires reliable transportation and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or a related field.
• Reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed at federal rate.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Meet with veterans to assess skills, work history, interests, and barriers.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, steps, and timelines.
• Provide job readiness training (resume writing, interview prep) and workshops.
• Build relationships with employers and assist with job placement and follow-up.
• Coordinate referrals to training and support services and track progress.
• Maintain confidential client records and submit program reports.
