Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) is hiring an Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program to support veterans in securing and maintaining livable-wage work.

You will guide clients from intake through eligibility, job readiness, training, placement, and follow-up, coordinating with local employers and community partners. You will conduct assessments, develop employment plans, teach resume and interview skills, provide counseling, and help connect

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field required; related experience may be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, business, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform client assessment and case management for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, steps, and timelines; update progress.
• Provide job readiness training including resume writing and interview preparation.
• Offer one-on-one career counseling and follow-up to keep veterans progressing toward goals.
• Assist with job placement and employer engagement; build relationships with local employers.
• Coordinate program activities, track outcomes, and report on grant requirements.
• Conduct community outreach and connect veterans to housing, transportation, and support services.
