Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) seeks an Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP). You will guide veterans from eligibility through placement, with connected support services to achieve stable, livable-wage employment.

You will conduct assessments, develop tailored employment plans, and connect clients to job training, housing, and transportation resources to aid successful reintegration into the workforce.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Mileage reimbursed at current federal rate.

Responsibilities

• Meet with each veteran to learn their skills, work history, and barriers to employment.
• Develop and update personal employment plans with goals and timelines.
• Assist with resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
• Build relationships with employers for meaningful job placements.
• Provide ongoing follow-up to ensure employment retention and progress.
