Job summary

AutoNation, a leading automotive retailer in the United States, is seeking a Service Advisor to connect customers with Service Technicians and explain repair recommendations in clear terms. You will identify up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe and running reliably.

You will work in state-of-the-art service departments, acting as the go-between for customers and technicians, and you will communicate transparently about costs, timing, and next steps while delivering an exceptional customer

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must provide exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Sales experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers.
• Meet or exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets.
• Greet customers and build rapport.
• Assess vehicle needs based on information and walk-around.
• Use consultative selling to plan for maintenance.
• Create repair orders with cost and time estimates.
• Coordinate with technicians and parts staff for timely work.
• Provide status updates to customers per preferences.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Develop product knowledge to help customers effectively.
