Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to bridge communication between service technicians and customers. You will explain technician recommendations in clear terms and identify up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe.

In this role, you’ll manage appointments, greet customers, and guide them through service options while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer experience is required.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals is required.
• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information, walk-around, inspections and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to plan for ongoing maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates, with full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on status and preferences for communication.
• Gain product knowledge to help customers and provide an exceptional experience.
