Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to join our nationwide team. You’ll be the go-between for Service Technicians and customers, explaining technician recommendations in clear language and identifying up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe.

You’ll set appointments, greet customers, determine needs through walk-arounds and test drives, and manage repair orders with transparent estimates while keeping customers informed throughout the service journey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• The willingness to follow up with customers and work with technology.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers to ensure a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and the targeted customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information, walk-arounds, inspections and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process for ongoing maintenance planning.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates and full transparency.
• Communicate frequently with technicians and parts to ensure timely completion.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
• Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help customers.
