Job summary

Merit Medical is seeking a field-based Sales Representative to cover the West Region, including Arizona, Nevada, and California. You will present Merit products, build strong client relationships, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely delivery and feedback for product innovation.

Base salary is $60,000 annually with an annual sales bonus plan and commission opportunities, plus benefits. The role demands travel, onboarding of new reps, and ongoing market intelligence sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related sales experience.
• Three years of direct or outbound sales experience.
• Strong communication skills to understand customer needs.
• High self-motivation and goal-driven.
• Excellent oral presentation skills and quick problem-solving with buyers or medical staff.
• Ability to learn usage of medical equipment and suggest improvements.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Use business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare sales data.
• Strong organizational skills to record and report work.
• Willingness to work long hours to meet goals.
• Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, databases.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Calls clients to present and demonstrate Merit products and identify needs.
• Identifies potential customers and introduces product groups.
• Maintains contact to monitor client satisfaction.
• Coordinates with Customer Service to set-up new accounts and process orders.
• Prepares pricing contracts for products.
• Follows up with clients to increase sales volume.
• Resolves problems with manufacturing or delivery when they occur.
• Provides market intel and assists with sales strategy.
• Mentors Inside Sales Representatives and helps train team members.
