Northwestern Medicine seeks a Patient Service Representative to check patients in and out of appointments, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate registration and insurance data. This role emphasizes strong customer service as you guide guests through their visit and address delays or changes in status.

You will operate in a rotating shifts environment with a 40-hour work week, supporting immediate care clinics and other departments as needed, while complying with ethics and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.

Responsabilités

• Greets and checks in/out patients and guests, confirms identity, and provides visit information.
• Completes registration, updates demographic/insurance information, and processes payments (co-pays, past due balances, POS payments).
• Posts payments, processes billing information, and performs end-of-day cash drawer closing.
• Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable and informs patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments and may float to other ICCs/departments as needed.
