Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support front-desk operations and patient flow. You will greet patients, assist with check-in/check-out, and ensure accurate registration and payment processing in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identity, and provide visit information.
• Complete check-in and check-out as directed.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Complete patient registration as needed.
• Obtain patient consents/authorizations.
• Collect co-payments and other payments, post them, and reconcile the cash drawer at day end.
• Maintain a clean waiting area and communicate delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedule appointments as needed; float to other ICCs/departments if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
