Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director to lead major transportation projects, including design-build and P3 initiatives. You will drive pursuit, deliver projects, and ensure policy and contract alignment across HDR’s matrix organization.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of civil engineering leadership, a PE license, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering, with ability to travel up to 50%. HDR offers an extensive benefits package and employee ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration (Architect/Engineering) for technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Delivery Program Director and drive effective pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Lead approvals, policy adherence, and risk management for AD projects.
• Collaborate with HDR groups, legal, and risk committees on contract terms.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership on client discussions for AD projects.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in AD.
