Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group to lead pursuit and execution of complex design-build and P3 transportation projects.

The role requires guiding contract terms, risk mitigation, and aligning HDR’s matrixed teams for successful delivery. Qualified candidates will have 15+ years in large civil infrastructure projects, a PE license, and proven leadership in advancing client relationships and multi-disciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field, with large civil infrastructure projects.
• Professional registration (PE) or equivalent; capable of technical leadership.
• Experience building and managing diverse teams and client relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive project approvals in line with HDR policy and risk governance.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group leadership and external partners on terms and contracts.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and project design services with engineering/construction entities.
• Engage with professional associations to raise HDR visibility in AD markets.
