Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead large-scale design-build and P3 projects.

You will drive project approvals, negotiate contract terms, and collaborate across HDR’s Transportation Business Group and with clients on future programs. The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and at least 15 years of professional experience in major transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on leadership and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE License required.
• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience including responsibility for large civil infrastructure design and design management.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee the effective pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk frameworks.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group Directors on policy, resources, and contract terms.
• Negotiate terms with HDR Legal and coordinate with Risk Committee input.
• Engage Transportation Leadership on client discussions for upcoming projects and contractor relationships.
• Lead HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, and Market Sectors.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in the Alternative Delivery industry.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
