HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group to lead complex design-build and P3 transportation projects. The role emphasizes collaboration across HDR’s matrix, contract negotiation, and active client engagement at multiple levels.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of civil infrastructure experience, track record in large projects, and ability to travel up to 50% to support HDR’s nationwide and international initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience in large civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading pursuit and execution of design and delivery in transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of HDR matrix organization and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and ensure pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk committee inputs.
• Negotiate contract terms with HDR Legal and coordinate with Risk Committee.
• Collaborate with Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads on client discussions.
• Foster HDR visibility in industry associations and pursue continuous improvement of methods and practices.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.
