Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group to lead pursuit and delivery of large-scale design-build and P3 projects.

You will coordinate with HDR policy, risk, legal, and regional leads, shaping contracts, teaming, and client relations to maximize HDR’s presence in AD markets. This role requires 15+ years of civil engineering leadership, a PE license, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects.
• Experience with design-build, P3, and alternative delivery models.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage client relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive the Alternative Delivery project approvals in compliance with HDR Policy and Procedure.
• Coordinate with HDR Business Group Directors on policy, staffing, contractors, and contracts.
• Negotiate contract terms with HDR Legal in coordination with Risk input.
• Engage Transportation Leadership and Regional Leads on upcoming AD projects and client relations.
• Facilitate HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, Market Sectors and Business Classes.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in the AD industry.
• Foster relationships to elevate HDR visibility in the infrastructure market.
