Job summary

Serco Inc. (Serco) is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support AFLCMC/WAG at Tinker AFB, OK, developing, testing, and rapidly fielding software for weapon systems.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP access; current investigation within past 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years DoD/government/DoD contractor experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 15+ years DoD/government/DoD contractor experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies in support of acquisition, development, and sustainment of software for weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing of software for computer systems and equipment.
• Audit DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and quality accreditation.
• Evaluate contractor proposed designs and perform systems analyses and trade-off studies.
• Review system design, software architecture, and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate test plans for software and participate in testing at system, subsystem, and component levels.
• Support development and review of program and contract documentation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals and risk mitigation plans.
