Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. The role focuses on software for weapon systems, analysis, and rapid fielding of capabilities for the warfighter.

Qualifications include a TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility, 10+ years in DoD engineering, and hands-on software development experience. Travel up to 10% CONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in DoD or DoD contractors.
• 15 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree (alternative).
• Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% CONUS

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies in support of acquisition, development, and sustainment of software for weapon systems and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing of software for computer systems and subsystems.
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft and test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and quality controls.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform system analyses and trade studies.
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in testing; review data and recommend actions.
• Support development and review of program and contract documentation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
