Job summary
Serco is seeking a Senior SME Software Engineer to support the DoD Special Programs Division. The role focuses on software architecture, CI/CD implementation, and DevSecOps across classified USAF programs.
Top-Secret with SCI access is required, with extensive DoD experience and strong MBSE capabilities. The position involves interfacing with prime contractors, conducting technical evaluations, and contributing to risk mitigation and transition strategies for weapon-system software solutions.
Qualifications
- Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI access.
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 20+ years DoD experience.
- Minimum 3 years SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).
Responsibilities
- Oversee software engineering architecture for CI/CD pipelines in DoD programs.
- Assess interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware.
- Participate in software-centric technical reviews and CI/CD transitions.
- Translate user requirements using MBSE into contract system requirements.
- Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend fixes.
- Audit DoD contractors for software configuration control and quality.
- Review system design software architecture and interoperability needs.
- Evaluate test plans and participate in system/subsystem testing; analyze data.
- Develop technical documentation and briefings; support engineering analyses.
- Conduct contractor evaluations and advise on mitigation strategies.
