Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support AFLCMC/WAG at Tinker AFB, OK. The role focuses on developing software strategies, requirements translation, and assessment of contractor software deliveries for weapon systems.

Candidates should possess an active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP access, a engineering degree with extensive DoD experience, and hands-on software development expertise. Travel up to 10% (CONUS) may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP access required.
• Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years DoD/contractor experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 15+ years DoD/contractor experience.
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for weapon systems and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for software design, testing and evaluation.
• Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and quality accreditation.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform systems analyses and trade-off studies.
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in system/subsystem testing.
• Support development and review of program and contract documentation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
