Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG within the Special Programs Division at Tinker AFB, OK. The role focuses on software for weapon systems, translating requirements into implementable designs, and ensuring contractor deliverables meet DoD quality standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software development experience in DoD programs.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering for weapon systems.
• Experience with software architecture and system design review.

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for acquisition, development, and sustainment of software for weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing of software.
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit DoD contractor software configuration and control measures for quality accreditation.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform systems analyses and trade studies.
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate test plans for software and participate in system testing.
• Support development of program documentation and contract deliverables.
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals and perform risk assessments.
