Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Temporary Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at the housing community under the Community Manager. You will play a vital role in delinquency management and cash-flow optimization, supervising staff in compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, and ensuring accurate month-end closures, while promoting resident satisfaction and effective leasing practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile payments and income for residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, and handle evictions.
• Support budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to accounts and bill-back utilities.
• Close end-of-month procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized resident records and audit files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges and security deposits.
• Attend onsite regularly and supervise staff.
• Lead leasing and staff development; ensure compliance.
