Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will manage delinquency, rent collection, and ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of income and expenses while supervising onsite staff.

The role requires leadership, attention to budgeting, and compliance with fair housing guidelines. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for resident relations and operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years in housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community.
• Manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.
• Post payments and income accurately and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and issue late notices; assist with evictions when needed.
• Help meet budgeted revenues and Net Operating Income; post charges to accounts.
• Conduct end-of-month closing and maintain organized records; audit resident files.
• Show, lease, and move-in prospective residents; supervise onsite staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to onsite staff; ensure policy compliance.
