Job summary

BECU, a leading credit union with millions of members, seeks a Director of Technology to align technology delivery with member outcomes. You’ll lead a broad portfolio across payments, wealth, lending, and credit cards, driving modernization through cloud, APIs, SaaS, and DevOps.

Collaborating with Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance and other partners, you’ll build integrated roadmaps, govern initiatives, grow a high‑performing team, and advance Agile practices to deliver tangible value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design.
• 7 years of experience leading technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate technology strategy and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams across products, operations, risk, and legal.
• Drive modernization through cloud, APIs, SaaS, automation and modern architecture.
• Governing portfolio delivery, budgets, and vendor management.
• Foster high performance through coaching, feedback, and talent development.
• Improve engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and quality assurance.
