Job summary
BECU is seeking a Director of Technology to lead a broad portfolio of financial-services technology, aligning technology strategy with business outcomes and member value. You will drive modernization, oversee agile delivery, and partner with Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to remove barriers and enable scalable outcomes.
You will build and mentor a high-performing team, govern delivery across essential platforms, and advance engineering excellence through modern software
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field; advance degree preferred.
- 7 years of people-leader experience and experience leading technology teams.
- 8 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design.
Responsibilities
- Lead technology strategy and delivery across key financial services areas.
- Own a high-impact portfolio across payments, wealth, lending, and credit cards.
- Anticipate risks and dependencies across Product, Operations, Legal, Risk and architecture.
- Drive modernization via cloud, APIs, SaaS, automation, and modern architecture.
- Build and develop a high-performance technology team.
