Job summary

BECU is seeking a Manager Technology to lead engineering teams delivering member-facing software across origination, credit, and deposits. You will drive IT initiatives, shape roadmaps, and ensure delivery excellence while advocating Agile practices and responsible AI adoption.

You will collaborate with Product, Data, and architecture teams, mentoring engineers and maintaining technical credibility. This role may be remote or onsite within approved locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience leading technology teams.
• 4 years IT experience with full stack design and development, including Angular, React, Java Spring Boot, Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technology Delivery for member-facing applications across digital origination, credit, deposits, and business banking.
• Guide high-impact initiatives such as Credit Line Increase and Retail MAX.
• Lead and grow engineering talent by coaching, mentoring, and setting clear expectations.
• Stay technically connected by engaging with architecture, APIs, and code-level issues.
