Job summary

BECU is seeking a Manager Technology to lead engineering teams delivering member-facing digital banking platforms. You’ll balance people leadership with hands-on technical guidance across origination, deposits, credit, and business banking, driving modernization and responsible AI adoption.

In this role you’ll collaborate with Product and IT partners, shape roadmaps, foster Agile practices, and help engineers thrive while delivering high-impact, secure solutions for our 1.5 million members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 1+ year of experience leading technology teams.
• 4 years of IT experience with full-stack design and development (Angular, React, Spring Boot, Node.js).

Responsibilities

• Lead software developers, contractors, and partners delivering member-facing applications.
• Guide high-impact initiatives such as Credit Line Increase and Retail MAX.
• Lead and grow engineering talent with coaching and performance development.
• Stay technically connected with architecture, APIs, integrations, and code-level issues.
• Create clarity by translating demand into realistic commitments for Agile teams.
• Advance engineering practices across SDLC, CI/CD, and governance.
• Drive modernization and AI adoption across Cloud, Data, API, DevOps.
