Job summary

BECU in Washington state seeks a Manager Technology to lead engineering teams delivering member-facing digital banking platforms, including origination, deposits, and small business products. You’ll blend people leadership with hands-on technical judgment to guide architecture, delivery, and modernization efforts.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Data, and security teams; mentor engineers; promote Agile practices; and drive AI adoption to improve member experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience leading technology teams.
• 4 years of IT experience with full stack design and development including Angular, React, Java Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and AI adoption is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technology Delivery: guide teams delivering member-facing applications across origination, deposits, credit, and business banking.
• Shape roadmaps, align with product and data teams, and manage priorities and milestones.
• Coach and develop engineers, promote quality, automation, CI/CD, and incident management.
• Engage with architecture, APIs, and code-level issues and drive modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate across Product, business, APIs, and architecture to achieve business outcomes.
