Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager in the United States to own the ASC 740 income tax provision and coordinate outsourced tax functions with external advisors such as RSM and Avalara.

The role centers on tax operations, providing oversight across federal and state compliance, sales/use tax, and strategic tax planning while partnering with internal teams to drive accurate reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience in C-Corp federal and state tax compliance.
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Working knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.
• Proven ability to manage audits, resolve tax issues, and work with tax authorities.
• Strong project management and coordination mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own annual ASC 740 tax provision process (current & deferred calculations, entries, reconciliations).
• Coordinate provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Serve as primary liaison with external tax advisors (RSM) and Avalara.
• Review federal/state income tax returns and workpapers.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and open items; support audits.
• Oversee outsourced sales/use tax compliance processes and filings.
