City Year AmeriCorps member is an entry-level, full-time role that focuses on coaching and mentoring students across elementary to high school levels. You will help students achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors while planning and monitoring individual progress with teachers.

Experience is not required; City Year provides 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year and supports you through a collaborative team environment and school-based partnerships.

Qualifications

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be 17–25 years old by July 1, 2025.
• Have a GED or high school diploma, some college experience, or college degree.
• Agree to and complete a background check.

Responsabilités

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups to support academic growth.
• Develop literacy and math activities tailored to each student level.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor and record student progress in City Year data systems.
• Contribute to a safe, engaging classroom environment in partnership with the teacher.
• Support school initiatives before, during, and after school programs.
