Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to boost academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors. You will plan and monitor progress and partner with teachers on in-class support.

Training is provided for a start in July/August 2025; this entry-level, full-time role offers a path to meaningful service and community impact within City Year locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups
• Develop literacy and/or math skills with varied activities by student level
• Create and implement a behavior management system for students
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and analyze student data
• Support extended day and after-school programs, including enrichment and clubs
• Help engage families and support school-wide engagement initiatives
