Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to achieve academic success and improve attendance, partnering with teachers to support classroom instruction and student growth. Training is provided at the start of the year, and members participate in school-wide initiatives and after-school programming.

This entry-level, full-time role offers AmeriCorps benefits and a path to meaningful service. Selected members commit to serving with City Year by July/August 2025, with eligibility

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or mentoring students is not required; training provided.
• Commitment to collaborating with teachers and school staff.
• Ability to monitor student progress and support classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and academic goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and city year staff on classroom activities and interventions.
• Support extended day or after-school programming and student engagement.
