Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer in the United States to develop technical and commercial proposals for data centers and critical manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with Strategic Account Sales Managers to drive ITO, focusing on high-probability, high-profitability projects, leveraging ABB’s portfolio.

This remote role supports ABB Electrification's U.S. business and requires deep product knowledge, strong collaboration, and travel up to 2-3 times per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; 5+ years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and strategic customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Evaluate project risk triggers and coordinate risk reviews with leadership.
