Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer in the US to develop technical and commercial proposals for data centers and critical facilities. You will work with SAMs to drive Inquiry to Order and maximize project profitability across ABB Electrification's US business.

This is a remote role within the Electrification Smart Buildings division, with travel up to 2–3 times per year and close collaboration with EPC teams and end users on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• 10+ years in electrical distribution or related industry; 5+ years in sales/quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and ABB empower.
• Experience with EPC, industrial or data center end users on large projects.
• Experience working with global and local cross functional teams and senior management.
• Proficient in electronic tools to stay organized and communicate remotely.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times a year.
• US work authorization for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and strategic customers to define CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to improve value and profitability.
• Assess project risks and coordinate with leadership and risk manager as needed.
