Job summary

ABB Inc. in the United States is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's focused segments, including data centers and critical facilities. You will work with Strategic Account Sales Managers (SAMs) to drive Inquiry to Order (ITO) with emphasis on high-probability, high-profitability projects.

This is a remote position. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US and should be able to travel up to 2-3 times per year to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; 5 years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and design characteristics.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects.
• Experience working with global and local cross functional teams and senior management.
• Ability to use electronic tools to stay organized and communicate remotely (Outlook, Salesforce, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and strategic customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio for market needs.
• Assess project risks and coordinate with leadership and risk management.
