Job summary
ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for focused industry segments, including data centers and critical manufacturing facilities. You will work with SAMs to drive ITO functions, emphasizing high-probability, high-profitability projects and require in-depth ABB Electrification product knowledge.
This is a remote position, with candidates located anywhere in the US.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in the electrical distribution or related industry; 5+ years in sales and project quotations.
- Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and Empower.
- Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects with multiple work packages.
- Proficient with electronic communication tools (Outlook, Salesforce, Teams).
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with SAMs and strategic customers to understand CTQ factors essential for growth.
- Organizing and leading deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to development of innovative solutions leveraging ABB Electrification's product portfolio.
- Evaluating project risk triggers and ensuring alignment with ABB standards; coordinate with risk manager.
