Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer for remote work across the United States. You will develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's data centers and critical facilities, collaborating with SAMs to drive high-probability, high-profitability projects.

You will lead pricing discussions, tailor solutions with ABB portfolio, evaluate financial and technical risk, and coordinate with leadership and the risk manager to maintain project standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry; minimum 5 years in sales and quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and ABB Empower.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large-scale projects.
• Experience with global and local cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Ability to leverage electronic tools to stay organized and communicate remotely.
• Ability to travel up to 2-3 times a year.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with SAMs and strategic customers to understand CTQ factors essential for growth.
• Organizing and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Contributing to development of innovative solutions leveraging ABB portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Evaluating project risk triggers and coordinating with leadership and risk manager as primary contact.
