Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to support leaders with employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and involuntary termination reviews. The ERBP will use Workday and ServiceNow, collaborate closely with the ER team, HR Business Partners, and Legal to provide recommendations aligned with company values.

The role involves handling multiple cases, ensuring policy interpretation is consistent, and educating stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field with 2 years HR/Employee Relations experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience supporting disciplinary actions, PIPs, terminations, or related activities.
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws; union avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ER subject-matter expert advising leaders on investigations, discipline, and performance issues.
• Review disciplinary actions, PIP and termination requests using Workday and ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with ER team, HRBPs, Legal, and other departments to align with company values and priorities.
• Interpret policies to ensure consistent application and educate stakeholders.
• Own assigned ER cases and document in the case management system and Ethics Hotline.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a positive ER environment and timely issue resolution with leaders.
• Assist with information gathering for legal complaints and charges.
• Provide coverage for ER intake as needed.
• Conduct less complex ER investigations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
